TEACHER STUDIO · 100% ON DEVICE
Make learning portable.
A simple teaching tool for a real-world problem: how do you share a lesson when learners have limited or unreliable internet?
BUILD

Write a short original passage and one comprehension question. The lesson lives on this device until you choose to export it.
SHARE
Take it anywhere
Make your own or pick one from the library.
No video download or special learning account.
Use Bluetooth, USB, or any available file-transfer method.

THE REAL-WORLD GUIDE
No signal.
No stopping.
OpenLeaf is designed for a real constraint: not every learner has always-on Wi-Fi or an expensive device.
Visit once while online
Open the site with an internet connection. Wait until the status bar says the lessons are ready for offline use. OpenLeaf stores its interface and example lessons on the device.
Turn your connection off
Disable Wi-Fi and mobile data, then reload the site in the same browser. Open a story, answer questions, and check your saved progress without a connection.
Share a small lesson file
Download a JSON pack from a story or create your own in Teacher Studio. Transfer the file directly and import it on another device that has opened OpenLeaf once.
ACCESS BY DESIGN
Simple choices that make a difference.
Keyboard first. Links, answers, and controls work with Tab, Enter, arrows, and Space.
Flexible reading. Adjust text size, enable higher contrast, or show Arabic vocabulary hints.
Real feedback. Practice questions give words as well as visual cues. Retrying is free.
Small and private. No login, analytics, web fonts, videos, or remote database.
What this prototype doesn't do yet
The first visit needs a connection, and the app needs a browser that supports service workers. Browser storage can be cleared, so progress and custom lessons are not synchronized. Read-aloud depends on local browser voices and may not work offline on every device. Teacher Studio currently creates one-question packs. We have not run a formal usability study with learners, and we make no claim of WCAG certification.
